Kelsey Kremer is a documentary producer for Iowa PBS and can often be found traveling the state telling stories about Iowans. Before that, she spent a decade at Iowa’s largest newspaper, the Des Moines Register, making photos and videos of everything from high school sports and breaking news to presidential politics and international reporting. Kelsey got her first taste of journalism as a photographer for her high school paper, the Vinton-Shellsburg Viking Voice and then the Iowa State Daily, Iowa State University’s student-run newspaper. Her work has earned three regional Emmys, appeared on PBS, in USA TODAY and at film festivals across the country.
