We’re so excited to meet you! Below are the details on check-in for Media Now Mizzou in Columbia, Missouri on Friday, June 23. The following applies only to our Mizzou location June 23 – 26.
- Eat Lunch BEFORE you check in. (Lunch is not provided for our camp on Friday.)
- Check-In runs from Noon – 1:30 p.m. at Gateway Dorms on Virginia Avenue. (Map it >>>)
- Once checked in, campers should be in the main lobby by 1:30 p.m. prepared to NOT return to their room until later that evening. At 1:30 p.m. the Media Now Camp staff will walk campers over to the opening.
- Opening Session is at 2:01 p.m.
Temporary Parking: You can use the temporary parking (the outdoor first floor space) in the Virginia Avenue Parking Garage across the street from Gateway Dorms to do drop off and pick-up parking.
[The lot BEHIND the dorms is NOT associated with the university and you can expect to be ticketed for parking in the hospital space.]
Parking for the Week:
Park on the Fourth Floor of the same garage. You will need to pay for your parking space ($12) in cash or check (no credit) at the check-in desk. You will receive a hang-tag for your vehicle. Student car keys will need to be turned in to camp staff to be tucked in a lock-box until check-out. This is for the safety of all campers. They have no need to use their vehicle once on campus.
Name Tags:
Campers are required to wear their name tags at all times while at the camp with us. In their name tag lanyard will be their room key/meal key. They need this with them if they want to eat or access their room. If the key is lost there is a $15 charge at Mizzou.
